Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. opensourcelist.dev uses as few as possible, and none for advertising.

  • dirkit-consent (localStorage): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so the banner doesn't come back. Kept until you clear your browser data.

If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets its cookies to tell visits apart and measure which pages are viewed. No analytics code is loaded before you accept.

  • _ga: distinguishes visitors. 2 years.
  • ga*: keeps the session state. 2 years.

Third parties

  • The submit form posts to this site's own server and uses no cookies (spam is filtered with an invisible field, not with a captcha).
  • The newsletter form posts to this site's own server, which hands your address to Brevo; it uses no cookies, and spam is filtered with an invisible field and a rate limit, not with a captcha.
  • Screenshots of listed projects are hosted on opensourcelist.dev; no content is embedded from the listed projects themselves.

Changing your choice

Click the small yellow dot in the bottom-right corner of any page to reopen the banner, see your current choice and change it. Closing the banner with the X counts as declining. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies does not affect how the directory works.
